This is a lovely little bread shop we visit whenever we need bread supplies. No sunshine or gardenia for us, this shop bakes the good old loaf with so little preservatives, it grows mouldy in 3 days. And it's open 24 hours, cool or what?
Khong Guan started selling biscuits this way in early Singapore. I'm so glad to see it surviving. For my weekly fix, I buy at least 4 packets from this shop in Whampoa. So many favourites, can't make up my mind each time. I even introduced them to my Japanese neighbour and she has fallen in love with the "ear" biscuits.
Saw this row of pre-war apartments along East Coast Road and thought they are perfect for a boutique hotel or clustered homes. They cost $10 million to buy so I'm just gonna keep on dreaming. That's my new pet daydream, if it was up to me, how I'd do them up.
Get a load of this! Reminds me of my childhood bedsheets. Who'd have thought, that 25 years later I'd have a crush on my bedsheet prints.
