Take a break

Feel like running out to buy a Kit Kat right now.

Friday Night Live

Checked out a spruced up Portsdown Road. First stop was Klee, with its overpriced cocktails (what?!!? they don't serve beers?!?!) and wonderfully talented pianist/singer. The outdoor setting was a little to raw to warrant such prices, I thought.

Then we wanted to go to Colbar for a bite, but alas, their kitchen was closed by the time we got there. This is the one place in Portsdown with real flavour still.

So, dejected, we went to the corner coffeeshop in Holland Village. While stuffing my face with prata, my eyes spotted this at the corner of the table.

For a closer look.
Shit! Is someone trying to tell me something?

Looking good

Spotted another great campaign in town. What a perfect place to remind women that hair can be more manageable. Where they'll be combing their hair, of course.

Making small talk

Perfect for those awkward silences in the lift, especially if you're riding the lift with your boss!

Message on a plaster

Went for a blood test and found an advertising message on my plaster for cervical cancer testing. I can think of so many other possibilities for this medium.

I Love KL

Just came back from KL 2 weeks ago and finally got down to writing this.

Let me just say this. I Love KL!

I love the chaos, the shopping, the food and even the taxi drivers. And hell, I think the Petronas Twin Towers look great at night.

My greatest find was Bangsar. Everyone knows Bangsar for its dining and club scene. I love it for the chic boutiques (though I'm probably the last person on the planet to find out about them). It's like a cross between Holland Village, Siam Square and Haji Lane, all of the greatest places I've been to.

My absolute favourites:
Moca (19-1, Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar)
Mooie (3-1, Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar)
dude and the duchess ( UGF-19, Upper Ground Floor, Bangsar Village 2, No. 2, Jalan Telawi 1)

I'm going back for more!

Brilliant use of alternative advertising media. Advertising anti-cellulite cream in a lingerie shop's fitting room.

I'm a La Senza convert, by the way.
